Recent Work
In light of recent and dramatic growth of artificial intelligence, and the proliferation of questions about its applications, the Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ has dedicated attention to the creative, economic, ethical, legal, and technological implications of AI. The Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ convenes experts, issues publications, and hosts events to illuminate the issues.
Discussion at the Intersection of AI and Mental Health
The Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ hosted an online event in December 2025 about Mental Health and AI as part of the release of the new publication on challenges, and opportunities with AI and mental health. There was a welcome by Çï¿ûÊÓÆµ President Laurie Patton; introductory remarks from Alan Leshner; a conversation moderated by Sanjay Gupta, featuring Paul Dagum, Kacie Kelly, and Arthur Kleinman; and concluding thoughts from Sherry Glied.
In the year ahead, additional issues of ¶Ùæ»å²¹±ô³Ü²õ will focus on AI; there will be an issue dedicated to AI & Science, and an issue dedicated to AI & Fiction. Both issues will be available online.
