Catherine Lutz

Catherine Lutz is the Thomas J. Watson, Jr. Family Professor Emerita of International Studies and Professor of Anthropology at Brown University. She is also a Cofounder of the Costs of War project based at Brown University. She is the author of Homefront: A Military City and the American 20th Century (2001) and Unnatural Emotions: Everyday Sentiments on a Micronesian Atoll and Their Challenge to Western Theory (1988) and editor of War and Health: The Medical Consequences of the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan (with Andrea Mazzarino, 2019).
