Are We Measuring What Matters? New Metrics for a New Economy
In 2023, the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ released the CORE Score, a data tool that measured how Americans are doing, an alternative to traditional metrics which focus on how the economy is doing. A product of the Çï¿ûÊÓƵ’s Commission on Reimagining Our Economy, the Score has been used by scholars around the country, and its findings have been shared with the White House, the Federal Reserve, and many others.
The Çï¿ûÊÓƵ is proud that the Score will find a permanent home at Yale University’s Institution for Social and Policy Studies, under the direction of Çï¿ûÊÓƵ member Jacob Hacker.
Professor Hacker and fellow Çï¿ûÊÓƵ members discussed the Score and its insights into the state of the American economy and American democracy.
